500 Startups Leads Seed Round for Celebrity Video Platform Starzly
The UAE-based entertaintech boasts over 1,000 celebrities on its books, ready to send personalised video messages.
UAE-based entertainment tech company Starzly has successfully raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from SEEDRA Ventures, 500 Startups, and Nama Ventures.
Launched in August 2020, Starzly is a platform that allows fans or businesses to hire celebrities to create personalised videos, video calls, audio messages, and direct text messages.The technology allows talents to monetise their fan base while letting fans access an entirely personalized experience from their favourite public figures.
Currently used by over 1,000 celebrities, Starzly has delivered tens of thousands of videos to 200,000 registered users in over 71 countries since launching.
The startup was founded by Badr Kachibal, producer and songwriter RedOne and Mouhcine Kachibal. It has attracted the presence of regional and international celebrities including Bassem Youssef and Enrique Arce.
