Alexandrian Mobile Games Startup Cryptyd Scores Pre Series A Investment from Cairo Angels

This investment will assist in the launch of the studio’s latest games, product and user experience improvement.

Cairo Angels, a global network of angel investors focused on supporting startup opportunities in the Middle East and North African region announces its most recent undisclosed investment in Cryptyd. This is the second investment round for the company, with its seed investment raised in 2015 from the Cairo Angels and partners, Alexandria Angels. Over the past three years, Crypytd has displayed great development in their endeavours, which won’t stop anytime soon with this newly gained investment.

The Cairo Angels continue to see exponential growth in the region’s gaming industry, having already invested in two gaming companies to date. Additionally, TCA’s beliefs are aligned with Cryptyd’s prospects for the market, believing that mobile gaming is currently experience massive growth, catering to a larger audience within the region, and ultimately becoming less of a niche arena. “We are ecstatic to have closed this investment round and to have co-invested in this opportunity with our partners, Alexandria Angels. We are confident in the Cryptyd team and in their ability to develop innovative games for the MENA region,” says Zeina Mandour, General Manager at Cairo Angels.

Established in 2016, Cryptyd is a mobile game development company with five published mobile games under their belt. Given consumer expectations and other factors, game developments costs have been very difficult to cut, as new technological integrations are being created and implemented around the clock. The company aims to expand its product development, assert growth of operations, and target more markets, overall. “This Pre-Series A investment will reinforce our position in the MENA mobile gaming landscape, and will accelerate our ability to improve our product and overall user experience,” says Ahmed Alaa, CEO and Founder of Cryptyd.
