Blink Secures $2.1 Million Seed Round to Boost Saudi Expansion
Founded in 2020, Blink helps restaurants across the MENAP region establish independent online ordering channels.
Blink, a Saudi Software as a Service (SaaS) startup, has closed a $2.1 million Seed funding round. This funding endeavor saw participation from industry-leading investors such as 500 Global and Global Founders Capital, alongside continued support from existing backers, such as Orbit Startup/SOSV.
Founded in 2020 by Syed Sair Ali and Syed Hyder Abbas, Blink helps restaurants across the MENAP region establish independent online ordering channels, reducing reliance on delivery aggregators. Blink's distinction lies in its growth and marketing engine, which utilises machine-learning-driven personalised campaigns for customer engagement. The company's solutions also offer restaurants a customised setup for their online ordering websites and apps. Over the past year, Blink facilitated 4.5 million orders for its partnered restaurants.
"Restaurants today are struggling with dependence on food delivery aggregators more than ever," said Syed Sair Ali, Co-founder and CEO of Blink. "Our meaningful work has allowed restaurant brands to win back up to 40% of their aggregator orders through their direct ordering channel, increasing their profitability by 30%."
This recent funding round serves as a launchpad for Blink's plans to expedite growth within Saudi Arabia, which is recognized as the fastest-growing market in the GCC region.
