Dubai-Based Luxury E-commerce Startup The List Raises a $1.7 Million Investment

Dubai-based luxury e-commerce site The List has just raised $1.7 million in seed funding from from local and international VCs. The startup, which allows users to shop fashion and luxury items directly from luxury retailers from the world’s fashion capitals, from Paris, to London, Milan, and Tokyo. The company, founded in 2016 Andreas Skorski, the startup had started in 2016 as a marketplace but later expanded its model to offer payment and logistics, and had previously raised a pre-seed round of $50,000 from Dubai-based TURN8.
Using software integration, the platform includes an aggregator allows physical retail stores to become commerce companies and sell their products to customers all over the world, particularly in the Middle East, one of the fastest growing markets for luxury goods. With operations in over 190 countries, the startup plans to use this investment to further develop its technology focusing on mobile solutions (iOS).
