Egypt's ITIDA Opens Applications for 'Start It' Incubation Programme
The programme looks to equip budding entrepreneurs with more than funding, as it looks to empower the next generation of innovaters.
Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced that applications are now open for the latest edition of ‘Start IT’, a comprehensive incubation programme that aims to equip budding entrepreneurs to take that next big step on their journeys.
Run through ITIDA’s Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), the programme offers winning startups EGP 60,000 for a selection of winners. Entrepreneurs with a business plan can apply for the opportunity at one of TIEC's incubation centres for the chance to receive funding over three instalments based on their achievements.
As for the core learning experience, the program features consultancy services powered by the likes of Amazon and Microsoft, along with technical and business consulting sessions that allows young entrepreneurs to learn from the experts. There are also a selection of startup specialists from various fields available for networking opportunities between startups, investors, and VCs.
All in all, the program is split into two divisions; the first being a virtual incubation without workspace, and the second includes all the services while also providing workspace at TIEC's HQ.
