Supporting cancer research, social, educational, and libertarian programmes, the Rising Tide Foundation granted Seedstars Egypt’s finalist startup, 7keema, the “Empowerment Prize,” at the Seedstars Global Summit earlier on April 5th, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
7keema is the first of its kind in the region; an on-demand home nursing services. They won access to the Seedstars Growth Programme as well as an equity investment.
After covering over 80 countries throughout 2018 with local and regional competitions, Seedstars invited all winners to Switzerland for the Global Summit. They had the chance to compete for different prizes, including up to $500,000 in equity investment and the title of Seedstars Global Winner – which was Blended; a mobile communication platform connecting schools with families in Latin America. With a user-friendly collaborative interface, they optimize communication, and improve learning results with state-of-the-art technology at an affordable cost.

Moreover, Seedstars announced its partnership with First Growth Ventures' founders Tamim El Zein and Maxime Bouan to launch a $100,000,000 sub-Saharan Africa venture fund. The fund will focus on early-stage investments from $250,000 to $5,000,000 in the most promising innovative ventures across sectors and countries. The fund is the first of a series of regional funds Seedstars will launch in the coming years to continue the mission of accelerating and supporting entrepreneurs at all stages.
