Egyptian Digital Interior Design Platform Shatablee Raises $1.2M

The startup will channel the funding into expanding across Egypt.

Shatablee, an interior design and home renovation startup based in Egypt, has raised $1.2 million to optimise its operations, continue its expansion across the country, and fully digitize the process of interior finishing.

“The sheer size and fragmentation of the market play to our advantage," Moustafa Amer, founder and CEO of Shatablee, says. "We believe that Shatablee is best suited to address the asymmetries faced by customers as well as professionals in the market, be it the lack of financing, the prolonged time to deliver that may take up to 12 months, the limited price transparency or the inadequate quality of houses created across many segments, especially within gated communities.”

Since its launch in 2021, Shatablee has taken the whole home finishing journey on to their 3D digital platform, where home owners in gated communities can select a unit type from their compound, and fully customise its designs in less than 30 minutes. Users can pick and choose exactly how they'd want each of the spaces in that unit to look like, before selecting a financing plan and submitting their order. Afterwards, Shatablee begins the build phase and brings these designs to life within 90 days.
