Egyptian Edu-Tech Startup COLNN Scores $100,000 To Bring Cloud-based Solutions to Schools

COLNN’s web and cloud-based software service helps school manage internal departments and processes.

EdVenture, one of the Middle East’s leading corporate VC specialising in education, culture and innovative learning solutions has just added a new startup to its extensive portfolio of companies by investing $100,000 in recent seed round.

COLNN is a school Software as a Service (SaaS) provider, with services including web and cloud-based solutions and an integrated mobile app connecting teachers, students and parents. COLNN helps schools manage their internal departments, processes and activities, as well as optimising the usage of their available resources through a school management system (SMS). With consideration to each school’s needs and requirements, COLNN customises its software to perfectly fit the nature of these requirements, while also providing continuous training and support to the schools’ staff, students and parents to help them reap the benefits of the newly-established learning system.

EdVentures invests in startups specialising in education, culture and state-of-the-art solutions in SEED and Pre-Series A rounds with an emphasis on Egyptian and African markets, as well as the Arab World. The corporate VC was launched by Nahdet Misr Publishing House in 2017, and has since provided financial and technical support to startups in order to ensure success and longevity in the market, and further providing investments according to the needs and maturity level of each company.
