GITEX Future Stars Returns in October at the Dubai World Trade Center
The event is committed to spotlighting youth-led tech startups from 75 countries.
The region’s biggest celebration of tech innovation, GITEX, is extending its startup wing with the return of GITEX Future Stars in October, helping tech startups from 75 countries to win back momentum lost during the trials and tribulations of 2020.
Giving regional tech startups a chance to get international recognition and raise funds from attending global venture capitals (VCs), GITEX Future Stars will be simultaneously providing global startups with access to the region’s tech-based investors.
Global leaders dedicated to fostering the spirit of creativity have announced their partnership to help amplify the creative economy, including the Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (UAL), Associação Brasileira da Indústria do Esporte (ABRIESP) and Studio Brazil. The event will include mentorship, innovation challenges, and opportunities for networking with corporates and government entities. During the 2020 edition, 86% of startups at the show met and moved discussions forward with investors.
The 2021 edition is especially committed to spotlight the creativity of startups transforming the sectors of fashion, sports, music, and arts with digital solutions. With this year’s celebration harboring the launch of the first ever entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership initiative for youth tech startups, GITEX YouthX Unipreneur, two days of conferences will be set aside for a Youth Pitch Battle and a dedicated show space for fresh new ideas from inspiring youth.
The GITEX Future Stars’ Supernova Challenge, meanwhile, will offer winners across multiple categories cash rewards of $200,000.
GITEX Future Stars is set to take place in 17-20 October 2021, at the entrepreneurial beehive that is the Dubai World Trade Centre.
