Hub71, Abu Dhabi's global tech ecosystem, has announced the launch of Hub71+ ClimateTech to support climate innovation from startups worldwide. The programme was unveiled during COP28 to foster sustainable decarbonization solutions.
"As the world continues its momentum towards climate action, we recognize the future will be built on innovative solutions. Participating startups will receive over AED 500,000 in incentives and funding in exchange for equity. They will also gain access to a network of over 25 partners, including climate leaders like ADNOC, Tabreed, TAQA, and Siemens Energy. As a Founding Partner, ADNOC is committing AED 2.5 million to pilots for eligible startups. Catalyst will invest in each program startup while e& capital explores capital investment opportunities. Tabreed and TAQA are also dedicating pilot funding. Selected startups will enroll in a customized 12-month acceleration program including expert mentorship.
Over 100 ClimateTech startups have expressed interest in expanding to Abu Dhabi through Hub71+, highlighting the emirate's growing tech ecosystem. The programme aligns with Abu Dhabi's climate strategy of 22% emissions reduction by 2027 to support UAE's Net Zero 2050 initiative.
By fostering collaboration between startups, corporations and investors, Hub71+ ClimateTech strives to accelerate ClimateTech innovations and channel them towards real-world solutions, positioning Abu Dhabi as a leader in nurturing global climate solution development.
