Jordan & UAE Discuss Expanding Trade Exchange & Investment

Business leaders from Jordan and the UAE met in Amman to discuss investment and private sector cooperation.

The Jordanian Businessmen Association hosted Hamad Al Matrooshi, Chargé d’Affaires at the UAE Embassy in Jordan, in Amman to discuss economic, investment and trade cooperation between Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was led by Jordanian Businessmen Association chairman Ayman Alawneh and focused on expanding private sector partnerships and increasing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Alawneh said the UAE is among Jordan’s largest investors and one of the Kingdom’s main economic partners.

He stated that Emirati investments in Jordan cover sectors including energy, real estate, tourism and infrastructure, and said economic partnership agreements contribute to increasing trade exchange and mutual investment.

Alawneh also called for increased communication between Jordanian and Emirati business communities through trade delegations and participation in economic conferences and exhibitions.

Al Matrooshi said the UAE is committed to strengthening economic relations with Jordan and expanding trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

He highlighted the role of the private sector in supporting economic development and strategic partnerships and said Emirati-Jordanian relations continue to develop across multiple sectors.

The discussions also addressed investment opportunities and ways to strengthen communication between business communities in both countries.
