Moroccan Superapp ORA Secures $1.9 Million to Expand Digital Services
This marks the company's first time attracting venture capital investors, bringing its total funding to $4.4 million.

Moroccan superapp ORA Technologies has secured $1.9 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Witamax and Azur Innovation Fund. This marks the company's first time attracting venture capital investors, bringing its total funding to $4.4 million since its founding in 2023.
The new investment will support the expansion of Kooul, ORA’s food delivery service, and ORA Cash, its digital payment and money transfer platform. Kooul has grown rapidly, reaching six cities in just five months. The service aims to make food delivery more accessible, with prices starting at $2.50, while maintaining fair compensation for delivery riders and offering lower commission rates for restaurants.
ORA Cash seeks to improve financial inclusion by enabling users to open an account in just 40 seconds using only a phone number. The platform supports five languages, including Moroccan Darija, and allows free peer-to-peer money transfers. A partnership with Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) grants ORA Cash access to more than 7,000 cash-out locations across Morocco, further extending its reach.
