The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has launched its first US dollar credit card in collaboration with Visa, aiming to simplify foreign currency transactions for its customers. The new card is designed for use both within Egypt and internationally, providing enhanced flexibility for foreign currency payments.

The card is available exclusively to existing customers who hold dollar certificates, with issuance tied to the purchase of these certificates. The minimum card value is set at USD 2,000, while the maximum limit reaches USD 50,000.

The card offers a range of benefits for users, including the ability to conduct transactions outside Egypt for purchases, international cash withdrawals, and online shopping. Additionally, customers can take advantage of exclusive issuance and renewal fees, along with a competitive interest rate on outstanding balances. A grace period of up to 55 days is also provided for purchases without interest.

Holders of the new dollar credit card can participate in the 'Al Ahly Points' program, which awards 22 points for every dollar spent.
