PIF’s Noon Sign Partnerships with Manchester City FC
Manchester City FC and Noon will collaborate to provide a number of experiences to engage with fans, customers, and local businesses in the Middle East.
Noon, an online platform backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed a partnership with Manchester City FC, the Abu Dhabi-owned English football club. This will see Noon become the official online sales partner for Manchester City in the Middle East.
Manchester City FC and Noon will collaborate to provide a number of experiences to engage with fans, customers, and local businesses in the Middle East.
“The team has impressed us with their ambition, innovation, and passion for the local communities and businesses they serve in the Middle East,” Stephan Cieplik, a senior vice president at the club, said.
Noon, an e-commerce company launched in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2017 and in Egypt in 2019, is backed by PIF and Dubai-based businessman Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties and the developer of assets such as Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall.
Founded in 1880, Manchester City FC was bought by Abu Dhabi United Group (ABUG) in 2008 and is now owned by the City Football Group, which is majority owned by ABUG.
