Palestinian EdTech Startup Bambinotes Snags an Investment from Ibtikar Fund

The Ramallah-based startup offers a multi-language cloud-based platform for preschool teachers to communicate with parents.

Palestinian startup Bambinotes, which facilitates communication between parents and pre-school teachers, has just raised a seed investment for an undisclosed amount from Ibtikar Fund. The Ramallah-based startup, founded by Odeh Awwad in 2012, assists parents and teaches with their communication through a multi-language cloud-based platform, and operates in Palestine, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

“We believe that there is a great opportunity for the success of Bambinotes in the Arab world. It is the first of its kind in the region, in terms of its comprehensiveness, up-to-date technology, and ease of use, and the first platform available in Arabic. Bambinotes provides kindergartens with the opportunity to offer competitive, new, and easy to use services, and gives parents the opportunity to be more involved in their children’s development and education,” said Ibtikar Fund’s Managing General Partner Habib Hazzan in a statement.

"Our goal is to invigorate communication between parents and early childhood education institutions (daycares, preschool, and kindergartens) with a state-of-the-art communication platform, to help parents track and monitor their children’s development,” Awwad said.
