Qatar's EMMA Systems Secures Funding to Advance AI-Powered Aviation
The new capital will support the development of EMMA’s AI-driven SaaS platform and accelerate its expansion across global aviation markets.

Qatar-based AI aviation startup, EMMA Systems, has secured seed funding from Plus VC, one of the region’s most active venture capital firms, alongside two angel investors. The new capital will support the development of EMMA’s AI-driven SaaS platform and accelerate its expansion across global aviation markets. Founded by Wisam Costandi and Mohammad Hourani in 20201, EMMA Systems unifies real-time operational data across airports, airlines and ground handlers to improve efficiency, predictability and sustainability. The platform integrates key operational systems such as Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM), Turnaround Management Systems (TMS), and Total Airport Management (TAM), providing stakeholders with a single, intelligent operational interface. The funding will also drive the rollout of EMMA’s Total Airport Management solution, designed to enhance real-time decision-making and streamline airport processes. EMMA has already deployed its technology with several international airports and airlines in Africa, Europe and the Middle East, demonstrating measurable improvements in efficiency and situational awareness. The investment comes at a time when the aviation sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation, with global airport infrastructure investment exceeding $150 billion in the coming decades.
