RiseUp Summit 2020 Will Be Headlined at The Great Pyramids of Giza
Yes, you heard that right. Right after a fiery debut on AUC New Cairo, next year's edition of RiseUp Summit will be held at the Pyramids.
One of Egypt and arguably the region's biggest gathering of entrepreneurs, the RiseUp Summit 2019 comes to an end, with the incredible news announcing that RiseUp Summit 2020 will be held at the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza. The RiseUp Summit started out in The Greek Campus in 2013, made it's way to the American University of Cairo to celebrate the establishment's 100-year anniversary, and is now set to continue its journey to growth as it brings the entrepreneurship and event scene to unprecedented heights.
The deal was inked as part of the Pitch by the Pyramids competition, where 15 emerging MENA startups pitch their business ideas in front of an esteemed panel of regional investors and firms, and the fascinating backdrop of the Ancient Egyptian world wonder behind them. The agreement is between RiseUp Summit and Gemini Entreprises Africa, with support from the Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Her Excellency Miss Sahar Nasr, as part of her mission to make Egypt the right ecosystem for startups to grow and to flourish.

Dr. Sahar Nasr.
The partnership also affirms that RiseUp and Gemini Enterprises Africa shall co-develop innovation hubs on the premises and other Orascom-owned holdings, while the former gains exclusivity for any entrepreneurial events in the area.
