Saudi Arabian gaming studio Lobah has raised $12 million from the Social Development Bank (SDB), as announced by the bank during Leap 2025 in Riyadh. The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s strategy of expanding the Kingdom’s national gaming and esports strategy.

Lobah is a Saudi Arabian gaming studio with over 14 years of experience in the market. The company’s co-founder, Eisa Atawi, also established MAU Games more than a decade ago.

In January, Lobah released a sub-branch of its company, titled Lobah Play, which allows users to publish, network and monetise their games on a public platform. Lobah Play’s first game, ‘Habhab’, has already been released, with other games such as ‘Kingdom of Letters’ and ‘Jackaroo’ in development.

The Social Development Bank is intending to increase its total gaming portfolio to $122 million, including $6.7 million for Virtual Reality Solutions Company.
