UAE-based AI and geospatial intelligence company Stellaria has raised $6.8 million in seed funding from a group of angel investors, valuing the company at $114 million.

The funding will be used to expand Stellaria’s AI operating system for geospatial intelligence, grow its technical team and accelerate deployment across the UAE and international markets.

Founded in 2023 by Dr Ali AlHammadi, Stellaria is developing a unified platform that combines satellite imagery, geospatial data, AI models and analytical workflows to help organisations identify and analyse activity across the physical world.

Its technology covers areas including satellite imagery analysis, super resolution, automated target recognition, maritime and port intelligence, satellite-derived bathymetry and environmental monitoring. The platform is being developed for applications across defence, maritime operations, infrastructure and environmental monitoring.

“This next phase will allow us to invest further in our technology, strengthen our team and build scalable products that can compete internationally,” said Dr Ali AlHammadi, Founder and CEO of Stellaria. “Our ambition is to build globally relevant space and AI technology from the UAE and contribute to the country’s growing position as a hub for advanced innovation.”

The company is positioning its platform around growing demand for systems that can turn large volumes of satellite and geospatial data into usable intelligence for areas such as infrastructure planning, maritime activity and environmental monitoring.
