UAE’s SimpliFi Launches as CaaS Platform Serving MENAP Region
Founded in 2020 by former CareemPay boss Ali Sattar, SimpliFi is designed to streamline businesses’ card management operations.
After closing a Seed round led by Raed Ventures, SimpliFi has launched as a Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform for the Middle East and Pakistan (MENAP).
Founded in 2020 by Ali Sattar - who previously headed CareemPay - the company’s one-stop solution system issues and manages companies’ card operations, working to deliver a seamless service across multiple markets.
SimpliFi’s seasoned team boasts experience in building and scaling technology businesses for Uber, Facebook, Paypal, Grab, Gojek, Careem, Marqeta, and Network International. The team also handles day-to-day card operations and compliance functions.
“Prepaid cards are highly versatile with a host of use cases allowing businesses to streamline operations, generate new revenue streams and drive loyalty,” said Sattar.
“Until now, banks have had exclusivity in issuing cards. We are changing that by empowering every business to become a payments company and participating in the benefits from financial ownership, without the underlying complexities and hassle.”
He added that “the massive impact this can create on the financial services ecosystem in the region” is a hope that inspires his team to wake up every day.
Customers-to-be can now sign up on the SimpliFi website for a demo account to familiarise themselves with the user-friendly portal designed specifically for non-tech businesses, in order for both finance and operational teams to obtain access to the same capabilities without a technology or payments background.
