Yodawy Partners with MedNet Egypt to Enhance Their Digital Services
This strategic partnership aims to serve thousands of insured members and facilitate the process of dispensing insurance medications online through more than 2,000 licensed pharmacies across Egypt.
Yodawy, Egypt's leading pharmacy delivery and benefits platform, has partnered with MedNet Egypt, a market leader specialised in health programmes. This strategic partnership aims to serve thousands of insured members and facilitate the process of dispensing insurance medications online through more than 2,000 licensed pharmacies across Egypt, all of which are a part of Yodawy’s extensive medical network.
“Tech-based innovations in the provision of online tools and services, as well as cooperation with leading healthcare companies, are what will provide the opportunity for millions of patients to get better and easier medical service,” said Karim Khashaba, CEO of Yodawy. “And this is what we have already started implementing when we cooperated with MedNet, which is one of the largest health programs management companies in Egypt."
Members subscribed to MedNet can register on the Yodawy app and set up an account with their monthly medications. They can also upload a doctor’s prescription and get approvals in a few minutes. The advanced AI-assisted platform offers users an expedited process with automatically-secured approvals. Orders are directed to the nearest licensed pharmacy, which in turn delivers the medication directly to the customer.
Earlier in 2019, Yodawy secured an investment from Algebra Ventures and Cventures (CIB’s venture capital arm), amongst other investors, to pioneer patient-first digital experiences in Egypt. By developing an innovative medical exchange programme, the company has brought together Egypt’s leading health insurance providers, providing their services digitally to over 1.5 million users and allowing them easier access to pharmacies, free tele-consultations and home lab requests.
