Emirati MoF Enables Government Fee Payments Through Tabby
The Ministry’s first partnership with Middle East fintech Tabby extends BNPL to public services, aligning with the UAE’s digital payments push.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced a partnership with Tabby, launching a payment service that allows customers to pay government service fees and fines through flexible monthly instalments.
Under this arrangement, Tabby will pay the full amount upfront to the relevant federal entity while users repay over agreed-upon instalments.
“This partnership marks a significant step forward for Tabby as we continue expanding our services to include the federal government sector," Hosam Arab, Co-founder and CEO of Tabby, said. "Our mission has always been to provide customers with greater financial flexibility, and we are proud to support the Ministry of Finance in making federal services more accessible across the UAE.”
The new payment option covers fees and fines across all federal entities. According to the MoF, the initiative aims to simplify financial transactions between citizens and federal entities, enhance collection efficiency, and improve user convenience by reducing the need for immediate lump-sum payments. Users who opt for the scheme will bear the associated commission.
