Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has granted 10 new licences across the non-banking financial sector as part of efforts to expand investment options and improve access to financial services.

The approvals span a range of activities outside the traditional banking sector, including securities valuation, futures brokerage, healthcare programme management, medical insurance, real estate financing, financial leasing, factoring and investment fund management.

Among the newly licensed companies, International Credit Rating Solutions became the first Egyptian company to receive a licence for securities valuation, rating and ranking. Sigma Capital and Aspire Securities and Bonds were licensed as futures brokers, bringing the total number of licensed futures brokerage firms to eight since derivatives trading launched on the Egyptian Exchange in March 2026.

The FRA also issued its first temporary licence for a specialised medical insurance company to Med Right Health Solutions, while Dubai-headquartered Nextcare Health, an Allianz affiliate, received a temporary licence to operate as a healthcare programme management company.

Elsewhere, Co Wealth received two new licences covering securities promotion and underwriting, as well as real estate investment fund and financing management. Digital investment platform Thndr secured a licence for its real estate investment fund, while Commercial International Finance Company, a subsidiary of Commercial International Bank, was licensed to carry out financial leasing activities. MNT-Halan also received a licence to provide real estate financing and factoring services.

According to the FRA, the approvals form part of broader efforts to diversify investment products, expand the investor base and support the continued development of Egypt's non-banking financial sector.
