Six startups were chosen out of 17 in total who participated in an exhaustive bootcamp last April. The selected finalists will receive an investment of $32,000 each, and will be provided with an opportunity to undergo the 4-month high caliber training, coaching and mentoring programme in addition to other fundamental perks to further the progress and growth of their businesses.
"Having launched in Bahrain by 2018, we have a mandate to complete 6 cycles within a 3-year time frame," says Ryaan Sharif, the Managing Director of Flat6Labs Bahrain. "We have now successfully reached the halfway point with the launch of our third cycle." The cycle will end with a Demo Day, where the respective startups will pitch their business models to investors, stakeholders and ecosystem partners, for the purpose of raising more funds. “We are proud to welcome our third cohort and look forward to supporting the flourishment of their businesses in Bahrain,” he adds.
The third cycle consist of startups providing smart solutions across a variety of sectors such as Online Recruitment, E-Services, AI, FoodTech, EdTech and HealthTech. The cycle launch was held at the accelerator’s offices and was attended by selected key members of the Bahraini startup ecosystem.
