Foreign Trade Ministry Launches Incubator for Finance Startups
The Ministry of State for Foreign Trade launched an incubator to support startups focused on advanced technology in trade, enhancing logistics and trade finance through the TradeTech Accelerator.
The Ministry of State for Foreign Trade announced the launch of a specialised incubator aimed at supporting startups focused on technology solutions.
This incubator will nurture startups working to modernise logistics, customs and trade finance. Applications are now open for the Accelerator, with the first cohort expected to graduate by March 2025. The program aims to transform promising ideas into scalable solutions that enhance efficiency in the global trading system.
“By driving innovation and promoting the integration of advanced technologies, including AI, into supply chains, we can envision a more efficient, more robust and more accessible global trading system,” Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, said during the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils in Dubai.
Plug and Play, a leading innovation platform, has been appointed as the official partner for the Accelerator, providing mentorship and collaboration opportunities. This partnership will help startups connect with key players in the logistics and trade sectors, ensuring their solutions are viable and impactful.
