Google Startups Accelerator Africa Opens Applications

Google has officially opened applications for the sixth class of their ‘Google for Startups Accelerator Africa’ programme. The three-month online programme looks to help high potential Seed to Series A tech startups based in Africa during their critical growth phases.
Applications are open to startups from 17 African countries including Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Applications are open until May 14th, and the online programme will begin on June 21st.
“This year, with the sixth cohort, we want to continue to play our part by supporting developers and startups within the Africa tech ecosystem, ensuring they get all the access and support necessary to see them continue to grow,” said Onajite Emerhor, head of Google for Startups Accelerator Africa.
The Google for Startups Accelerator includes three intensive virtual training bootcamps, mentorship, and Google product support. Additionally, it includes deep dives and workshops focused on product design, customer acquisition and leadership development for founders, specialised training, media opportunities and access to Google’s network of engineers and experts.
