Jaywan-Visa Cards Introduced for International Payments
UAE residents can now use these cards in over 200 countries, following a co-badge agreement between Al Etihad Payments and Visa.

UAE residents can now use Jaywan debit and prepaid cards in over 200 countries, following a co-badge agreement between Al Etihad Payments and Visa. The new Jaywan-Visa cards allow customers to make purchases internationally at 150 million merchant partners and for online transactions.
This marks the first co-badged Jaywan card in the UAE, enabling domestic and global payments. While mono-badge Jaywan cards can continue to be used locally and within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, co-badge versions - partnered with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Union Pay - will be able to facilitate payments in foreign countries.
For transactions within the UAE, payments will be processed through UAESWITCH, while VisaNet will handle cross-border payments.
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) announced earlier this year that the financial infrastructure is in place for Jaywan’s local and international rollout, aiming to reduce payment costs for individuals and businesses.
