MENA-based startups collectively secured $166 million in funding during December 2024, spread across 32 regional companies. The most notable investment went to the UAE’s SME lending platform, CredibleX, which raised $55 million through a mix of equity and debt financing. This marked the largest deal of the month, underscoring the growing focus on fintech solutions in the region.
UAE startups captured the largest share of funding at 37.5%, followed by Saudi Arabia at 31.3%. Egypt and Morocco each accounted for 9.4% of the total investments.
