In Q4 2024, funding for MENA-based startups totaled $554 million across 118 deals, with UAE-based Eyewa’s $100 million Series C round standing out as the largest transaction of the quarter.
Startups in the UAE received 56% of this quarter's funding, followed by Saudi Arabia with 34.8%. Egypt captured the third-largest share of total investments, with Kuwait close behind.
In terms of the number of investments, Saudi Arabia accounted for 37.3% of the total, followed by the UAE at 35.6%, Egypt at 11%, and Morocco at 6.8%.
