Meet the 4 Finalist MENA Startups Racing to Become One of the World’s Top Ten Innovators

This one-of-a-kind competition allows its audience to vote for the startup they think deserves to win an opportunity to become a key market player.

Shell LiveWIRE announces the finalists from their Top Ten Innovators Award, a global competition to find innovative solutions that promote circular economy, especially in the fields of Food and Agriculture, Energy and Mobility, and Sustainable Future.

Shell LiveWIRE’s mission to improve the global economy through entrepreneurship and innovation. The first LiveWIRE programme began in 1982 to combat Scotland’s diminishing youth unemployment rate, and now it has asserted itself as a catalyst solution provider that aims to make the world more sustainable.

After receiving almost 100 applications from around the world, a total of 21 shortlisted worldwide startups have been announced, with 4 out of 21 MENA-based startups ready to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. This one-of-a-kind competition allows its audience and basically anyone with an internet connection to vote for the startup they think deserves to win an opportunity to become a key market player.

Tink / Egypt

Tink is an Egyptian car-sharing application that connects people from similar communities and social networks to share their gas tanks in order to provide a smoother, environmentally friendly solutions that enables mobility and sustainability within today’s increasing life demands.

Tadweer Environmental Services / Oman

Tadweer is an environmental platform and Oman-based service provider that connects recyclable waste collection companies with eco-friendly customers looking to recycle their waste.

Baramoda

Baramoda is an Egyptian startup that uses recycled agricultural waste to produce bio-organic compost that could be used to enhance the agriculture industry and decrease the damages done to the Earth throughout the years.

TeckLee Plastic Factory

TeckLee is Saudi Arabian startup that produces a variety of plastic-based products that could be used as an affordable biodegradable substitute to plastic.
