Dubai's Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) has entered a Dhs 2 billion deal ($544.5 million) with Microsoft to build a hyperscale data centre in the city. The agreement, confirmed by Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, was finalised during the ongoing Dubai AI Week.

The deal is expected to develop the UAE’s data infrastructure, as hyperscale data centers are crucial for supporting advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.
