A new angel-investment network — Black Iris Angel Network — has officially launched in Riyadh through a partnership between Q Fund, the investment arm of Qewam Holding, and New Whys. The network aims to address the persistent early-stage funding gap in Saudi Arabia by linking promising startups with angel investors.
Members of Black Iris Angel Network will gain access to a curated pipeline of early-stage investment opportunities, alongside educational workshops, mentorship programmes, and structured deal evaluation tools — combining financial backing with hands-on support to help transform ideas into scalable businesses.
The launch reflects growing momentum in Saudi’s startup ecosystem at a time when the Kingdom is pushing for economic diversification and innovation under its long-term national agenda.
