Thunes & First Abu Dhabi Bank to Launch Real-Time Global Payouts
The partnership uses Thunes’ Direct Global Network to enable international and mobile wallet payouts from the UAE, aligned with national digital infrastructure programmes.
Digital payments infrastructure provider Thunes has announced a collaboration with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) designed to expand real-time international payouts from the UAE. The partnership uses Thunes’ Direct Global Network to enable FAB corporate and retail customers to transfer funds instantly across multiple currencies and channels.
Under the agreement, FAB will leverage Thunes’ technology to deliver payouts into mobile wallets and bank accounts in over 100 countries. The move aligns with increasingly globalised money-movement needs, particularly for e-commerce, digital platforms and cross-border remittances.
Thunes describes the initiative as part of its push to offer “bank-grade” payments infrastructure to banks and fintechs worldwide. FAB, meanwhile, is positioning its services to meet rising demand for international transfers and wallet-based payouts from UAE-based businesses and platforms. The collaboration reflects growing regional interest in real-time cross-border payment offerings.
