UAE Launches Sovereign AI Platform for Secure Infrastructure
The UAE Cyber Security Council, e& UAE and Open Innovation AI have launched a sovereign AI platform focused on secure national-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The UAE Cyber Security Council, telecommunications company e& UAE and technology firm Open Innovation AI have launched the UAE Sovereign AI Platform, a national-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure platform designed for highly secure and sensitive environments.
The platform was unveiled during ISNR 2026 in Abu Dhabi and is intended for sectors where data, AI models and operational systems must remain under national control.
According to the partners, the platform is designed to support AI deployment across national security operations, classified government environments, critical infrastructure and other mission-critical sectors.
The system enables organisations to deploy generative AI models, large language models, AI agents, analytics systems and autonomous workflows inside infrastructure controlled within the UAE.
At the centre of the platform is a Sovereign AI Security Framework designed to validate, govern and monitor AI models, applications and workflows before deployment into sensitive operational environments.
The framework covers areas including model governance, cyber resilience, operational isolation, secure AI operations, data sovereignty and the execution of classified AI workloads.
The platform is designed for sectors requiring air-gapped and cyber-secure AI systems, including intelligence and cyber operations, emergency response, smart government infrastructure and regulated strategic industries.
According to the companies, the platform combines the UAE Cyber Security Council’s governance frameworks, e& UAE’s infrastructure and connectivity systems, and Open Innovation AI’s orchestration platform and AI technology stack.
