US-Based Gaming Firm Scopely Acquires $1B Stake in Turkey’s Loom Games
The move adds a new Türkiye-born unicorn and keeps a 20-person team building from Istanbul, underscoring the region’s rising gaming footprint.
Scopely, the US-based mobile gaming company owned by Savvy Games Group, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Istanbul-based Loom Games in a multi-year, performance-based deal reportedly valuing the studio at more than $1 billion.
Savvy Games Group is a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The acquisition aligns with Scopely’s strategy of partnering with high-performing studios globally while supporting their continued growth.
Loom Games, founded by a team of around 20 developers, is the creator of ‘Pixel Flow!’, a hybrid-casual puzzle game launched at the end of 2025. The title has surpassed 10 million players and, over the past 12 months, has been the only casual game to rank among the top 20 highest-grossing mobile games in the United States on a monthly basis.
‘Pixel Flow!’ operates under a hybrid monetisation model combining in-app purchases and advertising revenue. Studio CEO Kübra Gündoğan stated that the partnership with Scopely is expected to support scaling efforts while maintaining creative independence.
The transaction is reported to establish Loom Games as a new unicorn in Türkiye, reinforcing the country’s position as a growing hub for game development in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Prior to the agreement, Loom Games closed a seed funding round with participation from Arcadia Gaming Partners and e2vc.
