The MITA Innovation HUB (MIH), an accelerator run by the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA), has opened a call for startups around the world to join its 3rd edition of their #YouStartIT accelerator programme, which offers entrepreneurs pre-seed investment and pro bono services of €22,000 to up to five startups with the best business idea based on digital technologies. Startups selected to join our YouStartIT accelerator programme will get an opportunity to research, develop and create their own marketable Intellectual Property which they can use to kick-start their business and scale up.

MITA is the central driver of Malta's Government’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) policy, programmes and initiatives . "MIH sees a huge opportunity in talent coming from MENA countries and works on perfecting the offer that best-fits them in the future," says Mahmoud N. Kelany, MIH Ambassador. "Ideas from FinTech, Maritime, Gaming, Health, and Tourism are highly encouraged to apply for the #YouStartIT accelerator programme, specially those that use disruptive models or emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and BlockChain," he adds.

Prospective applicants will be offered the opportunity to follow a pre-acceleration programme to help them validate desirability, feasibility and viability of their proposed business idea and related business model. The startups eventually selected to receive the investment will experience transformation of their idea into a tangible prototype for testing in a market scenario. While doing so they will enjoy the benefits of ongoing interaction with experts and mentors relevant to the chosen thematic area, including multinational technology partners interested in providing technical support of relevance to the project.

Applications are open until January 29th here.
