The Central Bank of Egypt has announced the winners of the fourth ‘FinTech Got Talent’ competition for university students, held under the FinYology initiative and organised by FinTech Egypt in collaboration with the Federation of Egyptian Banks and the Egyptian Banking Institute.

The competition was inaugurated by CBE First Sub-Governor Eng. Ayman Hussein and Egyptian Banking Institute Executive Director Abdel Aziz Nossier at an event hosted by the central bank. After university-level qualifiers, 11 finalist teams entered a one-month incubation programme at DMZ Cairo before the final awards were announced.

First place went to FinFamily, developed by students from the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Cairo University. The platform is designed to improve financial literacy among children aged six to 15 through interactive education and AI-powered training in Arabic and English.

Second place went to PayRamids from the College of Computing and Information Technology at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s Smart Village branch. The system is designed for SMEs to manage human resources and payroll while accessing short-term financing from banks and licensed financing institutions.

Third place was awarded to Pockety, developed by students at Nile University’s School of Business Administration. The project combines a mobile app with a smart bracelet, allowing children to set savings goals, track spending, take part in financial challenges and make supervised payments.

All three teams will represent Egypt at the Arab FinTech Challenge during the Jordan FinTech Festival 2026, taking place from September 21st to 24th with participants from Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Palestine.

Egyptian teams have previously taken first place in the Arab FinTech Challenge at GITEX North Star, while in 2025 they secured both first and second place.
