Egyptian Trading App EFG Hermes One Adds Five New Retail Funds
The launch consolidates retail investing on a single platform to widen participation in Egypt’s capital markets.
EFG Hermes, an EFG Holding company and regional investment bank, has launched five mutual funds on its digital platform, the EFG Hermes ONE app, expanding retail access to diversified, professionally managed investment products.
The funds include a money market option designed for daily liquidity, a USD fixed income fund offering exposure to instruments such as Egyptian Eurobonds, a gold fund positioned as a liquid hedging tool, an actively managed equity fund focused on companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange, and a Shariah-compliant equity fund targeting Egyptian listed stocks.
The range is structured to accommodate different risk profiles, covering cash management, income generation, portfolio diversification, hedging strategies and long-term capital growth.
According to the company, integrating the funds within the ONE app is intended to streamline access for retail investors and reduce entry barriers to Egypt’s capital markets. The platform provides real-time market data and customisable watchlists for stocks and portfolios.
The launch reflects a broader push to digitise investment access and widen participation among individual investors seeking institutional-grade strategies without large minimum entry requirements.
