Fourth Techne Summit Kicks Off In Alexandria This Saturday

The annual global entrepreneurship and technology event will take place for the fourth year in a row from the 29th and 30th of September at the monumental Bibliotheca Alexandrina. This multi-industry focused investment and entrepreneurship event, that aims to impact multiple sectors and stakeholders of the startup community through showcasing different technologies and their application in each industry, under the theme: "Technology. Innovation. Talent." The two-day event will include industry professionals, technology experts, entrepreneurs and startups, investors, users, and media representatives.

This year, Techne Summit promises to connect the gap between investors and potential entrepreneurs by capitalising on the crucial role of the technology and communication sectors in the development process. The event will feature networking opportunities, panel discussions, one-on-one meetings, fundraising and international educational opportunities as well as various pitching competitions. Among more than 100 speakers, CEO of Visa Tarek Mahfouz, CEO of Fawry Ashraf Sabry, as well as the actor Amr Wahba and TV host Ingy Abo Elseoud. Covering multiple diverse tracks to put all startups and entrepreneurs on the right track, broaden their perspectives, and give insights and exclusive scopes to help fundament their businesses. Techne Summit 2018 tracks are: E-Commerce, FinTech, Marketing and Media Technology, Investment, Startup Academy, HealthTech, Architecture and Real Estate Technology

Connecting investors, economic development organisations as well as business accelerators and incubators from around the globe, the summit is held under the auspicious of The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, The Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, The Information Technology Industry Development Agency and Digital Economy and Technology General Division. A number of pitching competitions for startups are lined-up as well, covering different industries; with opportunities such as a study exchange trip to Stockholm.
