Saudi Industrial Investment Company has announced a strategic investment in Khwarizmi Ventures Fund II, a fund managed by venture capital firm Khwarizmi Capital.

According to the companies, the partnership is intended to accelerate industrial innovation while strengthening the venture capital ecosystem across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region.

Khwarizmi Ventures Fund II plans to invest in more than 20 early-stage startups through Seed and Series A funding rounds, with investment sizes ranging between $1 million and $5 million.

The fund will focus on sectors identified as having strong scalability and long-term growth potential, though specific industries were not detailed in the announcement.

For Saudi Industrial Investment Company, the investment provides broader exposure across alternative asset classes while offering earlier access to emerging technologies and innovation-focused startups.

Khwarizmi Capital stated that the partnership also supports its wider strategy of backing founders developing technology-driven businesses aligned with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation goals.

The agreement reflects the growing role venture capital firms and institutional investors are playing in financing startups and expanding technology ecosystems across the Gulf region.

Khwarizmi Ventures Fund II is managed by Khwarizmi Capital, which operates under a licence issued by the Capital Market Authority under licence number 23255-02.
