ABA Life Secures $40 Million Investment From Admaius Capital Partners

Morocco-based healthtech company ABA Life has signed a $40 million investment agreement with pan-African private equity firm Admaius Capital Partners, subject to customary closing conditions and approval from Morocco’s Competition Council.

Founded in 2021 as the healthcare arm of ABA Technology, ABA Life develops and operates healthcare solutions spanning artificial intelligence, medical technology, telemedicine, connected infrastructure and clinical services. The company says it has built a profitable integrated model while working with public institutions and foundations to expand access to care.

The investment will support ABA Life’s ‘AI for Sovereign Health’ programme through Mediot AI and its clinical intelligence solutions, while also funding the industrialisation and deployment of its technologies and services. Part of the capital will also be used to support the company’s expansion into international markets.

“In five years, we have shown that a profitable healthcare technology model, able to deploy at scale, can be built from Morocco,” said Mohamed Benouda, founder and chairman of ABA Technology. He added that the company aims to make ABA Life a global healthtech reference and one of Morocco’s next unicorns.

Selim Ettriqui, Head of Morocco and West Africa at Admaius Capital Partners, said the firm was drawn to ABA Life’s integrated model combining medical devices, connected infrastructure, healthcare operations and proprietary technology developed in Morocco.

Admaius Managing Partner Marlon Chigwende added that the company’s entrepreneurial team, proven business model and technology platform give it significant potential to scale internationally.
