Egypt’s Bosta to Expand Last Mile Delivery Service to KSA & UAE

After bringing their GCC expansion to fruition, Bosta will target the ripe African market with eyes on Kenya, Morocco and South Africa in particular

Startup Scene

Egypt-based logistic and last mile delivery startup Bosta has revealed major plans to launch in Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the first step into their Gulf expansion in 2022. This expansion into the GCC follows their success in the Egyptian market, along with a $6.7 million Series A round led by Silicon Badia, with participation from 4DX, Plug and Play Ventures, Wealthwell VC and Khawarizmi VC from KSA, as well as a host of regional and global investors.

After bringing their GCC expansion to fruition, Bosta will target the ripe African market with eyes on Kenya, Morocco and South Africa in particular. The startup is also working on expanding its own fleet to streamline delivery in Egypt through a new partnership with mobility and transportation firm Family Corporation.

Founded in 2017 by Mohamed Ezat and Ahmed Gaber, Bosta looks to bridge the holes in the retail supply chain for e-commerce with a smart end-to-end last-mile logistics solution.

As of now, Bosta delivers an average of 20,000 shipments daily, and endeavors to fulfill 100,000 deliveries daily in 2022. Based on its track record, Bosta is on track to deliver 15 million parcels by the end of next year.
