Khwarizmi Ventures Partially Exits Egypt’s Bosta at Nearly 3x Return
The Saudi VC firm has partially exited Egyptian logistics startup Bosta, generating a net multiple of nearly 3x on its investment.
Saudi-based venture capital firm Khwarizmi Ventures has partially exited Egyptian logistics and delivery company Bosta, generating a net multiple of nearly 3x on its total investment.
Khwarizmi invested in Bosta three times beginning with the startup’s Series A round, and later led one of its subsequent funding rounds as the company expanded its logistics and last-mile delivery operations.
Alongside the partial exit, Bosta has distributed a portion of capital twice to investors in Khwarizmi Ventures’ first fund within less than five years of the fund’s launch, providing liquidity and returns ahead of a full exit.
The transaction brings Khwarizmi Ventures’ total number of realised portfolio exits to six. Its previous exits include Tamara, POSRocket, Fatura, Melltoo and Qawafel.
Bosta operates in Egypt’s logistics and delivery sector, with services focused on last-mile fulfilment and e-commerce infrastructure. The partial exit gives Khwarizmi a realised return while retaining exposure to the company ahead of any potential full exit.
