Egypt’s EdVentures Wins ‘MENA Education Investors of the Year’ Award
The award from UK publication, Corporate Vision, sheds light on exemplary education and training practices and investment.
The venture capital wing of the Egyptian Nahdet Misr Publishing Group, EdVentures, has received the ‘Education Investors of the Year’ award for the MENA region by UK-based digital magazine Corporate Vision.
The award’s ‘Education and Training’ category seeks to celebrate exemplary investors and practices in, well, education and training, as well as to showcase trailblazers defining the sectors in which they operate.
Established in 2017, EdVentures is the first corporate venture capital specialising in education and learning in the MENA region, incubating, accelerating, and investing in educational and cultural startups.
"We are happy to receive such an acknowledgement that recognizes our continuous efforts in further advancing our education sector," said Nahdet Misr CEOm Dalia Ibrahim. "We have been an integral part of the education system for more than eight decades, and have long recognised the existing challenges and strived to find ways to constantly support learners and the educational landscape on the national and regional levels.”
EdVentures’ award comes after it successfully supported over 60 startups and entrepreneurs over the past three years, as well as investing in eight startups considered to be among the largest and most impactful startups in Egypt.
