Uber introduces another product to continue to facilitate more transport choice across country.
Uber announces the launch of UberBlack in Egypt, a premium product that will be operated by mobility solutions provider, Budget. The product will be available in El Gouna starting April 23, aiming to facilitate even more choice for riders across Egypt when it comes to transportation options within the app.
The launch of UberBlack is a further step towards Uber’s commitment to developing transportation to fit the needs of different market demographics, and is also in line with Budget’s efforts to continuously enhance its customers’ experience and to expand its reach. Following the launch of UberTuktuk also in El Gouna, this partnership has been tailored to make transport for holiday goers and El Gouna residents easier by providing trips catered to long distances.
“We are always working to diversify products by making our platform more relevant to riders across markets within Egypt. UberBlack is our latest offering based on extensive research to fit the needs of riders in El Gouna, which was only feasible through a strong partner like Budget. We will continue to study the evolving needs of different markets and adapt our products accordingly,” says Ahmad Hammouda, Head of Uber Egypt.
“At Budget, we are constantly looking to diversify and strengthen our on-demand mobility solutions. Our operational know-how, supported by Uber’s platform, will ensure a premium, reliable, and seamless experience for our customers. This partnership reflects our strategy to combine the latest technology with our premium fleet to provide best-in-class mobility services,” says Nevine El Labban, Chairman of Avis Budget Egypt.
The UberBlack service will be launched with a wide-range of high-end Volvo S60 and S80 vehicles operated by Budget with professionally trained drivers. The service will be officially available on the application starting April 23 for a reserved time period, kicking off operations by facilitating trips within El Gouna. Going forward, UberBlack will also be operating to and from Hurghada Airport, boosting tourism to the area by further facilitating safe and reliable transportation for holiday makers.
