For First Time in Egypt: Uber Launches UberBlack In El Gouna

Uber announces the launch of UberBlack in Egypt, a premium product that will be operated by mobility solutions provider, Budget. The product will be available in El Gouna starting April 23, aiming to facilitate even more choice for riders across Egypt when it comes to transportation options within the app.

The launch of UberBlack is a further step towards Uber’s commitment to developing transportation to fit the needs of different market demographics, and is also in line with Budget’s efforts to continuously enhance its customers’ experience and to expand its reach. Following the launch of UberTuktuk also in El Gouna, this partnership has been tailored to make transport for holiday goers and El Gouna residents easier by providing trips catered to long distances.

The UberBlack service will be launched with a wide-range of high-end Volvo S60 and S80 vehicles operated by Budget with professionally trained drivers. The service will be officially available on the application starting April 23 for a reserved time period, kicking off operations by facilitating trips within El Gouna. Going forward, UberBlack will also be operating to and from Hurghada Airport, boosting tourism to the area by further facilitating safe and reliable transportation for holiday makers.
