Global VC Kauffman Fellows are Coming to Egypt and Looking for the Next Big Thing

The Kauffman Fellows are in town for quite a busy schedule.

Staff Writer

The global VC group, Kauffman Fellows, are visiting Cairo for a schedule packed with networking events happening between February 13 and 15.

The fellows will kick-start their visit with an evening at the pyramids co-hosted by EFG Hermes, Swvl, Marakez and Vezeeta gathering a number of local and regional stakeholders of the ecosystem. Celebrating their visit, personal assistant AI startup Elves – who happen to be fellows – are hosting a barbeque gathering on February 14.

Since establishment in 1994, the Kaufmann Fellowship graduated 500 entrepreneurial leaders running venture capital, government, corporate, university, and startup innovation efforts across more than 40 countries. As of 2013, Kauffman Fellows have collectively scored $6 billion in VC funds, $15 billion in annually recurring revenues, and on the wider scale created 50,000 job opportunities.
