INJAZ Bahrain Announces New Edition of Young Entrepreneurs Competition
The Bahraini nonprofit will spotlight student contributions in new edition of youth competition.
INJAZ Bahrain, a nonprofit organisation, has announced the upcoming edition of its annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition (YEC), spotlighting participation of students from 10 high schools and eight universities in the country.
Participating student teams from will be stratified across eight award categories for both the high school and university levels, with two winners in each category for the Company of the Year, Product of the Year, and Best Social Impact.
Company of the Year winners will also become qualified to compete at the regional level. Winners of the final two categories for Excellence in Technology and Excellence in Digital Marketing sponsored will be recognised as Signature Awards.
Her Highness Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, commented on the success of INJAZ Bahrain’s YEC Forum 2021 saying: “Over the past two years, our students have demonstrated extraordinary strength of spirit, innovative thinking and a determination to succeed in the face of challenges.”
“We are proud,” she said, “to continually bring the YEC competition to life each year in order to provide these leaders of tomorrow with the platform, resources and community to propel themselves forward as the future leaders of their generation. We look forward to seeing the direction their creativity and business acumen take in this year’s competition.”
The event will also feature the participation of several high-profile Bahrain-based businesses and entities as sponsors, including Tamkeen, Banagas, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), and is set to take place virtually over a two-day period from July 7-8, 2021 over Zoom, and with the concluding award ceremony live streamed via INJAZ Bahrain’s YouTube channel.
