Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Investcorp has acquired 20Cube 3PL Solutions, the India contract logistics business carved out of Singapore-headquartered 20Cube Logistics, for approximately INR 500 crore, or around $58 million.

Investcorp is partnering with founders Anand Seetharaman and Ranjan Kedia for the company’s next stage of growth. The international freight forwarding operations of 20Cube Logistics will remain separate and continue under the Singapore-headquartered business.

20Cube’s India platform currently operates more than seven million square feet of warehousing for enterprise clients across sectors including consumer durables, chemicals, automotive components and engineering goods. The company plans to expand that footprint to more than 20 million square feet over the next four to five years.

Investcorp and 20Cube also plan to deploy a further INR 500 crore to INR 750 crore towards acquisitions of complementary contract logistics businesses, as the platform looks to broaden its presence across India.

Unlike traditional fixed-space warehousing models, 20Cube also operates on-demand multi-client facilities that integrate transportation and other logistics services into the same platform.

The acquisition adds to Investcorp’s existing exposure to India’s logistics sector through investments including NDR Warehousing and Miebach Consulting, as the firm continues to target opportunities linked to the country’s expanding manufacturing and supply-chain infrastructure.
