Seedstars Is Flying To Casablanca To Give Morocco's Best Startup A Chance To Win $1 Million
Seedstars World is looking out for Morocco's best startup, and will be keeping an eye on July 6th at La Factory. Applications are open until June 15th.
Seedstars is coming to Casablanca on July 6th to listen to pitches from 10 of Morocco's best seed-stage startups. In the fourth Morocco visit for Seedstars World, the largest startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, one startup will have the chance to win up to $1 million in equity investments and other prizes.
In order for startups to be selected to pitch at the Seedstars Casablanca event at La Factory, they are required to be less than two years old, have raised less than $500,000 in funding and built a minimum viable product, ideally with existing traction, as well as enjoy a regional and global scalability. With international partners, such as Merck, SPECo, Enel and Continental, the competition organisers are looking for smart startups that tackle regional issues and develop profitable and sustainable products for the global market.
After a scrutinising through the startup ideas that would have applied, the Seedstars team will shortlist 10 of the best seed-stage startups in Casablanca to pitch on July 6th for the opportunity to compete at the Seedstars Summit, that annually takes place in Switzerland, for a chance to win the aforementioned ultimate prize. Seedstars is a Swiss-based group with the mission to impact people’s lives in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on the Sustainable Goals for the Development of the UN. Seedstars connects stakeholders, builds companies from scratch with public and private partners and invests in high-growth startups within these ecosystems. Seedstars aims at fostering impact investing and impact entrepreneurship over the world.
Applications are open until June 15th and startups are invited to apply here using the code (SSWCasablanca18).
