Swvl Co-Founder Launches New Fintech App ‘Telda’

Former SWVL co-founder, Ahmed Sabbah, has launched a new consumer fintech application, Telda. Inspired by fintech apps like Venmo, Telda allows its users to gain access to a digital account that comes with a free Mastercard-powered card for use in online payments, in-store purchases, and cash withdrawals.

Telda aims to be the answer to anyone who has ever sought an alternative to the traditional banking system. Offering a completely online platform experience through its app, Telda does not require paperwork for access, sign up, and use of their services. Instead, users can sign up using their phone number and national ID to create a free account, and will have a debit card sent to them.

The app will also include money management features that allow users to keep track of their spending habits and manage their expenses.

Telda’s mobile app is now available for both iOS and Android users.
